THEY SAY I SMELL TOO BAD

"I've been addicted to the opiates and homeless for ten years," Bo shared from the streets of Denver. "The shelters won't let me stay there. They say I smell too bad."

"Bastards," I replied. "To be honest, your feet look like they really hurt a lot."

"Oh, they do! They hurt terribly. They were getting better, but they swelled up again."

I looked closely at them. "Do you think they'll get better?"

"I sure hope so."
